They grow up so fast...
Here are some of the books we highlighted in the past...
Scroll just a bit further down to see each title, and click on each book below to check it out on the PaperPie website. And if you have any questions, I am just one click away!
Freefall is Julien's favorite Kensy and Max book, but it is book #5... They do need to be read in order for them to make the most sense.
The Volcano Challenge is his favorite amongst the Bear Grylls Adventures... but these can be read independently, although we love the whole series and it would have been cheaper to get them all together 😉
Double Dare You is Zoé's favorite amongst the Ella Diaries... While this series does not necessarily need to be read in order, you do want to start with the first book. And since the stories are so great, you might want to learn from our mistake and just get the whole set - it is cheaper to get them all together 😉
Take it from the experts
I love to see how my kids are drawn to books, and which ones they will gravitate towards on any given day. Every couple of months, I ask them to show me their favorites of the moment. Here is their current selection... Interested in our past picks? They are here!
Click on the books below to check them out and don't hesitate if you have any questions, I am just one click away!
And keep scrolling down for suggestions by interests, and ages!
Zoé says "But I don't like just the first book of Polly and Buster"... so get all 3 at once, you know it's the best deal 😂
Musical Mystery is Zoé's favorite amongst the Ella at Eden books... As always, if it looks interesting to your reader, learn from our mistakes and get the whole set at once, it is cheaper that way... 😉
To our dismay, the Spy's Guidebook is no longer available but on the bright side, the Epic historic adventures are now available as a set, as Julien recommends getting all 3 😉
Fall 2022

It's almost impossible to pick a favorite but I am so in love with this new Little Helpers book! It comes with felt pieces that neatly store in the inside cover and will teach your kids some fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sorting skills, all while having so much fun pretending to be at the grocery store! It's so fun, even Frodo wanted to play with it!
Recommended for ages 3+.
Spring 2023
Seriously, it was impossible to pick a favorite from the Spring 2023 releases! I love the concept - and execution - of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive... It comes with five adorable fish that you have to catch thanks to magnets, and of course everything stores neatly back in the book! Another love is the Tropical Learn to Lace book.... the colors are just gorgeous and it helps with hand-eye coordination as well as counting skills! And of course, I have to mention Tiny Baking!... it's so adorable, the recipes are lots of fun, and it even comes with a storage tin to make sure nothing gets lost!
Fall 2023
Can we talk about All the Wonderful Ways to Read for a minute or two? What a gorgeous book! The quality of the paper is amazing, the illustrations so pretty and colorful, and the message, ohhhh, the message! I love this new title! Another one that made me absolutely fall in love all over again is The Christmas Story.... now, I'll admit, I didn't read the description very closely when I snagged it, so I was expecting a Christmas pop-up book... you know I love pop-ups! But this one actually only has one pop-up page at the end but is it ever so beautiful?! The idea is to read the book and then display it open during the Christmas season and I absolutely love this!
2024
We have some super fun new concepts for younger kiddos, and of course I had to get my hands on them! I am slightly obsessed with our brand new Puzzle Sticks... I snagged the Ocean one but there is also Jungle, Unicorns, and Dinosaurs to pick from. Regardless of your theme, these puzzles come in a fun round box and you have 10 stick puzzles in each box. The color at the top of each stick easily enables you to sort them and know you're working on the correct puzzle, then it's just a matter of lining up the sticks to create the image (and yes, there is a picture inside the box 😊). I also fell in love with the new "Spin and grin", and grabbed the Which Tail? one... With this new series, you spin the wheel on the side of the book and pick the tail you prefer for each animal pictured. There is also a Which Ears? book and they are both extremely cute and will bring laughter about for sure! Last but not least, Folk Stories and Tall Tales called our name right away and is perfect for my kiddos (8 and 11). My son has already read it several times over and the illustrations are stunning. I also love that it focusses on North America and that the stories are grouped by types (origin stories, animal stories, nature stories, tricksters, folk heroes, and tall tales), and that there is a glossary!
